Background

Scania is a global vehicle manufacturer with over 315,000 connected vehicles worldwide, which gives access to several IT services such as e.g. remote diagnostics, fleet management and driver coaching. The ambition is to use vehicle data to reduce fuel costs and environmental impact, increase productivity, improve driver ability, and enable communication that includes messages and route selection.

The solution

tDigital has delivered microservice architecture, the user interface, DevOps and new services such as e.g. authentication, localization, service planning, address books, equipment administration and customer settings.

tDigital has also built a CI/CD pipeline and contributed to migration to cloud infrastructure. For example, hybrid cloud architecture with AWS and Azure cloud is used for fast data storage / delivery, lower costs, better communication between devices and to optimize disaster recovery.
