Svenska kraftnät is the Swedish state authority responsible for operating Sweden’s national electricity grid, ensuring security of supply, and overseeing electricity preparedness and dam safety. As the system-responsible authority for the country’s electricity supply, Svenska kraftnät’s digital platforms serve a wide audience including the Swedish public, electricity producers and distributors, industry stakeholders, and other authorities, with strict requirements around accessibility, security, and reliability.

tDigital contributed frontend development and accessibility expertise to Svenska kraftnät’s external websites and intranet. The engagement focused on full WCAG compliance in line with Swedish public-sector accessibility legislation, ensuring the authority’s digital platforms are usable by all citizens and stakeholders, alongside frontend development and UI/UX work across both public-facing and internal systems. The work covered frontend development, UI/UX design, and accessibility engineering. The result was a more accessible, consistent, and standards-compliant set of digital platforms supporting Svenska kraftnät’s role as the system-responsible authority for Sweden’s electricity supply.
