Siemens AG is a global industrial technology company headquartered in Munich and Berlin. Founded in 1847 and listed on the Frankfurt and New York Stock Exchanges, Siemens is one of Europe’s largest technology enterprises. As prime contractor for the development of EBS2020, the national administration platform used by Svenska ESF-rådet to manage projects co-financed by the European Social Fund, Siemens engaged tDigital to deliver key components of the system. The European Social Fund is the EU’s primary instrument for promoting employment, skills development, and labour market integration across member states, and EBS2020 supports the Swedish administration of that programme at scale.

tDigital delivered key components of EBS2020 as part of Siemens’ integrator engagement, with responsibility for system architecture, AngularJS frontend development, Node.js backend components, and the user experience layer. The platform is built on a Java-based microservice architecture and includes advanced reporting workflows, validation logic, decision support functionality, real-time processing, and secure handling of regulatory documentation.

The work covered system architecture, frontend development, backend development, UX, and statutory compliance with EU structural fund regulations. The result is a platform supporting Svenska ESF-rådet’s administration of European Social Fund projects in Sweden, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational efficiency, and reliable handling of co-financed projects across the country.
